• I noticed a problem when I started beta-testing a site build last night, the Contact Form 7 plugin wasn’t sending emails, even though it told the users it was sent. Then I checked to see if the “I forgot my password” emails worked, and they didn’t.

So I went to another install where I had upgraded to 4.0 and checked the Contact Form 7 there. No luck.

Then I went to a third install where I hadn’t yet upgraded and the Contact Form there (Form Maker) works.

This is making me pretty sure that something in WordPress 4.0 broke WP Mail for my site. I’m hosted on iPower (I know, they suck, but we can’t move).

Update: I installed WP-Mail-SMTP, and that makes everything work. So either my host coincidentally just stopped supporting PHP Mail, or PHP mail got glitched in 4.0 on both updates.

    Same problem here (WP 4.0).
Emails from plugins or premium theme contact forms are going out but Password notification is not working.
