Mail does not get sent, when assigning existing task to user

  • Hello,

    me again. Since the mail sending does now work without any issues, I found one new strange behaviour of the plugin.

    If I create a new task and assign a person, the person gets the mail without issues. But when I create a task, edit this task afterwards and assign than a person to this task, then no mail does gets sent.

    Is this a bug or a expected behaviour? It would be great if there could be a mail sent, so the person knows, that he has a new job to do ??

    That’s the expected behavior. The email feature is pretty basic in this plugin.

    Would it be possible to fire the same mail()-call when an user gets assigned to an task with less work?

    You could edit /includes/cleverness-to-do-list-library.php and copy the relevant code from the insert_todo() method to the update_todo() method.
