Mail chimp plugin frozen

  • I downloaded a mail chimp plugin, the contact 7 something or other, and it has totally frozen my dashboard up. No matter what I try to open, this same screen stays there. The only button that I can open is the donate button, which I did thinking maybe then it would unlock my screen, but nope it is still frozen three days later, and I have no idea. I have tried everything I can think of which isn’t much. Help? Here is a picture of what is frozen on my screen. Super frustrating. Is it a wordpress issue, or a mailchimp issue? I can only work this site through the customize tab at the top, nothing else works.

  • Sounds like a plugin issue. FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the mailchimp plugin within wp-content/plugins. That should solve the problem.

    Thanks, I am not completely sure how the heck to do that. My host provider is Blue Host. I will go onto that site to see if I can figure it out. I have never done anything like that before. Any suggestions as to how to do that would be great! But I will go see what I can figure out too! Thanks!

    I figured out how to delete the plugin, but now on my dashboard I just have a blank. I can still see my actual site, but the dashboard no matter what I click on is blank. I will keep playing with it. In my ftp is shows the files are all still there, but I don’t see anything! Super frustrating because I really don’t know what I am doing. Help?
