Mail chimp Add On

I’m using Paid Memberships Pro (free version) and have the MailChimp Add On plugin activated. I have the opt-in box option turned on during checkout.
If single opt-in is enabled, the user (me in this case) will not receive a final welcome email from my MailChimp list. If double opt-in is enabled, the user WILL receive an opt-in email (as is required with double opt-in) as well as a final welcome email after the subscription is confirmed. I would like to keep double opt-in turned on however, here’s my main issue…
When double opt-in is enabled, the user receives 3 duplicate opt-in emails–2 emails at the same time, and then another email after the user has subscribed and received the final welcome email (approx. 15 minutes after everything is confirmed).
I know it’s not MailChimp because I have tested the WooCommerce MailChimp add on and it doesn’t send out duplicate emails. I would like to have this resolved as I really like the ease of PMP and MailChimp…I just don’t want to blast users with duplicate emails.
