Mail appears from field in Settings > Email doesn’t like single quote mark

  • When a quote mark character is used in the “Mail appears from” field in WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Email, it results in a backslash character appearing in the resulting email sent to the recipients.

    E.g.: Smith’s Pharmacy

    Becomes: Smith\’s Pharmacy

    It’s as if it has been escaped but then not removed when the email is programmatically sent. Is there any way to avoid this happening (without having to enter the from text without a quote mark)?
