• Hi and thanks for your plugin. One thing worries me though:

    i have 5 wordpress Websites, which all use the plugin. On two of them I changed E-mail adress of the addmin (sole user) and of the site, because when I set it up, I used the admin adress of one of the other sites.

    The Sucuri Alerts still send to the old e-mail adress, though. I can’t understand why. I searched the whole installation and database, I can’t fifure out where you store the wrong e-mail adress to send the reports to.

    Where email alerts go to (from the plugin) is not related to the WordPress admin notification email, it’s a specific setting in Sucuri Security > Settings > Alerts > Alerts Recipient.

    If you want all 5 sites to notify the same email, change this setting on all 5 sites (or export/import settings).

    Hey, thanks for your reply! Strangely I somehow overlooked that setting, you are totally right, I have no clue, why I didn’t catch that. So all is fine now.

    However, would you recommend to change to Ninja or Wordfence, since the sucuri support seems to be abandoned, the API-key wasn’t sent, there is no possibility to send it again, and everything looks a bit weird?

    I can’t comment on your security needs because I use the plugin as part of a paid subscription so I get priority support and usually get a response within a few hours, depending on timezones.

    The API key can be generated within the plugin’s UI Sucuri Security > Settings > General Settings > API Key.

    If you want to completely reset the Sucuri Security plugin you can delete its data folder on your website. It’ll be recreated on next page refresh.
