    Dear community,

I am using “Contact Form 7” with Mail (2) enabled to give subscribers to my event a feedback mail that they have subscribed. I am using “Mail (2)” but it always uses my admin email address and sender name instead of the ones given in the “From”-field.

I want this to be the sender info:
    From: WebLearningDay II <[email protected]>

    But I am getting this:
    From: weblearningday.de [email protected]

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks and cheers, Arne

  • Hello my friend,
I suggest you use the Postman SMTP plugin, in this plugin, we use variables at the time of generating the form and we can use them at the time of sending by email.

Possibly in your plugin, there are also these variables, you have to take a look at the documentation to see how to put it if you do not want to use the Postman SMTP plugin.

The Postman SMTP plugin is very simple and easy to use, I suggest you go for it.

Thank you! Your advice lead me to try out your plugin and THAT lead me to a conflict with “WP Mail SMTP” that was activated as well. THAT plugin actually caused the problem since it had different mail-from-settings! Hah, solved it! Now everything works fine and I think I won’t need “WP Mail SMTP” activated.

    Thank you and regards!
    Arne

    Glad you got it !!
    Hugs! ??
