    Hello,

I am getting the error message reading: “Invalid mailbox syntax is used” in my Contact Form 7 / Mail (2) ‘to’ field.

I have set the mail-tag up as a required field.

I was initially using a custom mail-tag but when I kept getting the syntax error, I recreated the mail-tag with the standard ‘your-email’ id to see if that would make a difference. It didn’t.

I am following ALL the instructions on the support page for this error at https://contactform7.com/configuration-errors/invalid-mailbox-syntax

Please can someone help? I am at my wit’s end.

Where can we see the website in question?

This is my experience as well. It suddenly stopped sending autoresponse emails to the person who used the contact form on the site. The [email* your-email] syntax that the site says to use doesnt work anymore. So I cannot get it to respond to those who use it. I received the same response from the plugin author and never anything after.
