Mail 2 takes too long to be sent (5 minutes)

  • Hello!
    I have a form that needs an autorespond. I use the mail (2) function. It is designed with html. It takes 5 minutes to arrive.
    Is there any chance to reduce this time?

  • It is dependent upon your server. So use smtp plugin and reduce mail delivery time.

    Thank you for your answer Arshid!
    Yeah, that’s what I thought and actually, before opening this thread, I spent quite a bit of time setting first WP Mail SMTP and then Gmail SMTP. Unfortunately I can’t manage to make them work. I set everything right but when it comes to sending the test email I get a 405 error. I might ask in their support forum.
