• Truly an innovative product. Well done to the developers.

To me the missing link is the following:

    1. Not enough shortcodes. I am using Divi and would like to have an add to cart button on a Divi page. An add to cart shortcode that links to the relevant product would be fantastic since there is no SureCart modules in Divi at the moment.

    2. Even better than the above – Imagine you have a hundred products and you want to create product pages for all of those. With WooCommerce the product template system is very handy since you can create products efficiently and it will populate your shop page automatically. I could set up a product template with the Divi theme builder as a work around but then again, I can’t add an add to cart button with Divi.

It honestly feels like a custom post type for products are missing with SureCart.

WooCommerce (with all the bloat) feels a little bit more cohesive in this regard. In all other arenas, SureCart is way better.

All this said, I will be switching to SureCart, as painful as it may be to set up individual product pages at the moment.

Hopefully the developers will change products to a custom post type in the future. A shortcode for a shop page would be stellar as well.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write this review. And I have 2 pieces of great news.

    1. We do have these shortcodes for any page builder available ??. When you are in a product, and you have created a price for that product, you will see a button that says “Copy Links”. When you click this, a modal will popup with a list of these shortcodes. We try to be very thoughtful with our interface, but maybe we can improve the visibility of this, as it appears that it was not as obvious as we want it to be.

    2. We totally hear you and are putting a massive focus on this right now. We will have a shop page and product pages. Our initial hesitation was due to the concern on how do we make it still be flexable for users if we add these opinionated pages. So for example, WooCommerce product and shop pages are very opinionated and this has forced all the main page builders to build extensive styling options as workarounds. We want to avoid having to build integrations with each and every page builder, yet at the same time not be rigid. This is why we have released SureCart without this, as well as that, not all ecommerce required this, its mostly larger stores like yours.

I hope that gives insight into our thinking process. But we have a plan for this that we are working on and want to offer this ASAP.

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for your thorough response as well as showing me where to find the shortcodes.

You are correct about the opinionated WooCommerce product pages, so I understand where you’re coming from with this.

Maybe you could add product forms (in a similar way you implemented the existing forms) as an added step in the middle, including a few basic templates as well as giving users the option to customize their own product forms.

In other words, users can choose to use a product form or not, giving you the best of both worlds and avoiding opinionated product pages.

Be blessed and thank you once again for creating such a great plugin.
