magic tags in pods

Hi All this Plugin is brilliant
I have a pod with the following fields
name
org 1
org 2
org 3
Bio

I am trying to use magic tags to into data into the bio field
like {@name}bla bla bla {@org_1}Bla bla {@org_2}

but instead of getting the data I just get the Magic tag code
{@name}etc
can magic tags be used in the pads and in the same pods the fields come from
how can I use the if I can
any suggestions welcome
tried the forums but no answer
