Magazine Slider won't function

Hi – I am having exactly the same problem since your last update. Use Canvas & Events Calendar and the slider has stopped working. Disable The Events Calendar and the slider starts working again.

this is happening with my wordpress wootheme magazine version of canvas too !

I upgraded wordpress to day and the slideshow stopped working. I was very sad to see that it was caused my your awesome plugin.

can you please let us know when you get it fixed and I hope it is soon cause our client is not going to wait out the weekend and ask us to find something else asap.

Is there a solution to my issue? I would consider upgrading to Pro but I need to know this plugin is compatible with my Canvas theme before I make a purchase.

The events are also not showing up in the blog feed.

Unfortunately we’ve seen a number of reports of problems with sliders – we are not yet sure what the common link / underlying problem is but I wanted you to know we are actively looking at this.

Hi patriciabainter: can you try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file (you can probably omit the opening <?php tag) and see if that resolves this?

I tried this and it resulted in an error code popping up when trying to load my site.

the functions.php file is rather long. I added the snippet in several locations (at the beginning and at the end) but it just resulted in my whole site having an error code and not loading at all.

BELOW IS THE CODING IN THE FUNCTIONS.PHP FILE WITHOUT YOUR SNIPPET. Where should it go?

I’m guessing you’ve perhaps inadvertently introduced a syntax error somewhere.

However, as the forum mod who edited your last reply suggested, it would be best to share your functions.php file (perhaps two versions, one without the fix and one showing it in place) via Pastebin/Gist/some similar service.

I gave up and deactivated the plugin.

I like the plugin, but I need for it to work on it’s own without me figuring out how to fix it.
