• Hi,

I installed Relevanssi on my website, hoping it would improve the search speed on my website.

I made an index with all the posts and products in it, and the search is still slow as it was before installing the plugin, am I missing something?

I am using a different search plugin to power the ajax search, that seems to be working fine, but the core search is still very slow (I already tested by deactivating the other search plugin)

    Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Relevanssi does not make the search faster; in most cases, it’s slower than the default WP search. If you’re looking for a fast search, try Relevanssi Light – that’s generally much faster than Relevanssi or the default WP search.

But yes, your search is so slow that there’s something wrong with it. What kind of numbers are we talking about here? How many posts do you have?

Sure, I’ll give it a try.

Currently I have over 600k products in my wordpress installation.

Ok, that’s all the explanation you need. Relevanssi and the default WP search are not designed for 600k posts.

Ideally, you need an external search, something like Algolia or Elastic. Of course, at 600k posts, those are very expensive. Relevanssi Light is probably your best free option.
