MacOS Monterey and ios15 are both still in beta until later this fall. However, both have new mail privacy controls for remote content. When I receive a mail poet post notification, I get a could not load remote content privately message at the top of the email with an option to load it directly. The image associated with the post is not visible. After clicking load directly, I still do not get an image … just an empty box where the image should be. This will be a big issue later this year as all the apple folks upgrade. Has this issue been identified or reported? Any work arounds?

    Thanks,

    Kirk

    Hi @bonnerkirkd !

Thank you for reporting that. The MailPoet developers are aware of it and working on it.

I’m afraid I can’t provide you with a timeframe for making the adjustments related to the new Apple Privacy available but this is set as a high priority. Thanks again for making sure we are aware of these changes. ??

I suppose this relates to my blog posts, as well. I recently installed Apple’s fully released Monterey OS and I can load remote content from other sources, but not from my own blog post. It has been months since this problem was reported, surely there has been time to fix this problem, as it works for other remote content, why not WordPress remote content?

There is not much reason to have a photo blog, if the photos do not display and cannot be displayed on an Apple computer.

Still having the issue as well. iPhone, iPad and Mac fail to load images in Apple mail. I’ve disabled iCloud private relay, mail protect etc but images are still displaying blank. This does not happen on iOS 14.

Any update on this matter? I’ve noted that blogs that I get from other WP bloggers have images that will load. Mine still do not load, even when I click the “Load Embedded Content”.
