• Does anyone know of a live cross-browser testing site? I need more than screenshots, as I’m trying out drop-down menus.

I run a PC, and need to view a site via Mac/Safari.

I’ve seen browserpool.de which offers a free service, but having wound it up, Mac/Safari option is missing.

    Thanks.

  • The closest you can run natively on a PC is the Linux browser Konqueror (the browser on which Safari is based). You can use one of the live CDs such as Knoppix (https://www.knoppix.net) to try it out.

    Many thanks, jrawle

Actually I contacted browserpool.de and explained the Mac/Safari thing wasn’t working, and they wound it up immediately. Cool bit of kit. Basically look at your site from any browser/platform. Don’t use it all at once guys….

    For Linux they offer:

Konqueror, Firefox, Opera, Lynx, Elinx, Dillo (Dillo??)…

For Mac: IE, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Camino, Shiira (Shiira??)….

Not sure why I haven’t got an Edit option for that previous post, but there’s an English version of the site at:

    https://www.browserpool.com
