Lust CSS menu not wanting to cooperate…

*This is my first post here, I think it’s in the right forum but if not please point me in the right direction.
So I’ve been modifying the “lust” theme for a client – I haven’t done web design for a while (mostly a print guy) and am having some trouble. It was all going fine until I started messing with the menu.

https://judahgraphics.com/zip/The problem is the left side menu is hanging above the line where the body starts. I need it to be on the line, as the right/social menu is. At first it was on the line, and the menu on the right simply said “subscribe”. When I switched text for images on the right menu the left menu went airborne. They were both originally in the same div (#menu), but I broke it down into two (#menul, #menur) thinking I could adjust the margins of menul to push it down – but to no avail after hours of trying to figure out this guys code. Overall the code seems really well written, but I’m out of practice and having some trouble – so any help would be much appreciated.
