    no ideas?

    have tried reinstalling the theme? in other words, delete the theme, then select another theme, upload fresh files from the archive or download the ones you use for the testblog and upload those to other site and try it. If it works for your test, then the test ones should work as well on another site

    thanks Jinsan for getting my brain working again. It turns out that for some reason or another, the search form has to be in the header somewhere. weird deal….
