<?php the_tags(); ?> doesn’t produce anything

Works fine for me when used in The Loop. The WordPress 1.6 Default Theme has that tag so see what happens if you change your theme to that.

Thanks. Yes, it does work in the loop. How can I get it to work in the meta tags? Or is this functionality not available? In that case, can I make a feature request?

I am wondering this too. the-category works fine there but not the_tags

Does your theme use start_wp()? If it does then tags won’t work.
