• Hi! I have been using this plugin for quite some time. The speed of my website on page speed insights is very low. I had tried to switch to the other amp plugin but it is interfering with google analytics so I can’t use it. Kindly help me with increasing the speed because the other amp plugin enhances the speed of the website which this plugin doesn’t. Also, tell me is it necessary to activate the amp for the homepage?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Also please tell me how can we build a custom homepage. If there is any documentation, can you share it? I am trying to build an amp homepage by importing the swift layout https://ampforwp.com/demo/amp-pagebuilder/amp/ but after saving the contents, I see the old random default layout.

We checked your issue. Currently, the mobile page speed score is 70. Like this: https://prnt.sc/uxhp8o and desktop is 96 like this: https://prnt.sc/uxhplr
Can you please tell me what you are expecting?

If you want to build a custom home page, please follow this tutorial: https://ampforwp.com/tutorials/article/how-to-create-a-custom-front-page-in-amp/

Hello Ahmed I am unable to view the screenshot which you have shared. I was talking wrt page speed insights. There, when I check the speed, it comes out to be very low. Although on gtmetrix, it is fine, but I am just worried if it interferes with my ranking. Kindly tell me where are you checking it so that I can check too.

Also, I have tried building the custom frontpage this way before. I tried using the prebuild amp layout of swift as well, it seems to be free because there is no pro written on it, but I am unable to utilize it. Kindly make it clear to me whether free users can use it or not. Thanks

    We checked your issue.
    1. Reduce initial server response time – You need to use Static caching for solving this.

    2. Remove unused JavaScript – Usually, this is not a problem but this time, it has AMP scripts in it.
Recently Google has changed the ads to AMP4Ads, now those “unused” URLs are actually getting loaded in the iframe. So that is also being counted as unused, which should not be the case actually this thing is confusing a lot of people. In reality, the script isn’t loading, so there is no performance issue or slow down in speed as the report might suggest.
