low quality images in catalog

When you hover any image it shows a low quality thumbnail. The code loads the thumbnail as “imagename-lqip.jpg”. If I load the thumbnail in another window without the -lqip part it shows a good quality image.
Where can I disable that low quality image feature so that all thumbnails are shown well?
