Loving it!

  • UPDATE 2/14/2016: I add a star after purchasing the buddypress module, i still think the price is a bit high for the “extra-fields” module, but the buddypress one i must say is very impressive…i am so pleased with my new setup! Keep up the good work!

    Why 4 stars then, you might think? Well not that i am a cheap mofo, or maybe i am, but i feel that for some extra module $40 is a bit much. I do get that it’s a one time purchase, but i have bought the extra fields module and i can’t help but feel that it’s to much for so little as an addon. I mean, for $40 you would maybe like to have control over all of your Ads fields…at the least. I evaluate the worth at around $20 or $30 TOPS because of it’s necessity. Otherwise very pleased with everything and will be buying the buddypress module soon.

    Sorry that you had a bad experience here–can I ask what you think Extra Fields should be doing that it didn’t?

    It adds the ability to create and manage ANY kind of field in addition to the standard ones. You can make the fields category specific (which isn’t possible without it). The fields can be reordered arbitrarily with the others. And you can use field codes to place these in the plugin anywhere you want…

    That seems like a lot to add for the price, at least to me. But I’d like to hear what you think we’re missing.

    I updated my rating because i bought the buddypress module, and as for the extra-field module, it does what it says i did not discredit that, but for the price i do think you should include the possibility to modify default fields as well. Don’t take me wrong i am very pleased with my purchases and support your scripts all the way!! Very well done.

    I think this is a good suggestion–once we get the custom post types migration completed, we’ll consider adding it to the plugin!
