Love WordPress but not sure it’s for me???
-
The host recommended WordPress, but I opted for joomla (sp?). What a dumb maneuver…having fussed around for several days…driving me NUTS!! Then I called the host back and they helped me to apply WordPress and **WHAT** a relief!
This is great, because I can download (FREE) themes until the cows come home. But seems to me this is a blogger type thing right??
My 10-year-old got together with friends for the summer and decided on building a camp for 5-6 year olds. Well, 3-4 members later and they are in business. Mom and dad will have to fund the scholarships and supplies and hopefully everyone will have a worthwhile and fun experience. So here is what I was hoping for (once again this is strictly for fun):
The site needs pages that can show the counselors and their qualifications. If should be a theme that’s playful and fun. We should be able to upload PDF flyers for membership applications and future schedules, and pictures to show all the fun times. MOV or MPEG files would be great if easy enough.
Something tells me that WordPress is more for bloggers…and I’m not that savvy with building websites to know the difference. Am I doing the right thing choosing WordPress or is there something better out there?
Thanks for my kids sake and for my sanity!! :–/
