Lots of spam getting through

    Haven’t noticed anything unusual. Can you check that Akismet is flagging spam correctly? Post a comment with viagra-test-123 as the author name (make sure you’re logged out) and see whether you get a captcha?

    Hi!

    I tried the test and I did get a captcha. It’s just weird because I’m having to clean out my folder several times a day. Just wondered if it might be a conflict with the recent Askimet update.

    It could be that you are getting a lot of human spammers at the moment (people get paid to post spam – and obviously a captcha will not stop them), or that the Akismet servers are having intermittent issues. Hopefully it will settle down…
