• Klarna seems like a great company, but their plugin sucks. It’s not even owned by Klarna, it’s owned by a company called Krokedil. So when I contacted Klarna as I installed the plugin and there are lots of CSS compatibility issues with text going off the page and background colours not aligning. Klarna were very abrupt saying speak to Krokedil. So I emailed them and they said they wouldn’t help and I need to speak to a developer. They have only tested compatibility with 1 theme and you can only use the plugin in one country, unless you buy the 1 multi-currency plugin they have tested it with which is £55

    Hi @qubecharity
We’re very sorry you are unhappy with the plugin. Klarna partners with Krokedil to develop Klarna’s WooCommerce plugins as Krokedil has the required WooCommerce expertise to build excellent Woo plugins that work well with the WooCommerce architecture. Krokedil is a great partner and is always willing to support any merchant. There are cases though when the problem is not in the Klarna Woo plugin, but rather with a different plugin, the theme, hosting provider, etc., and in these cases, support is required from the responsible company. CSS issues and display issues are generally related to the theme. Perhaps you could also try testing with different themes to verify this.

The Klarna Woo plugins work with many themes, as long as the theme follows Woo standard architecture. We cannot test every available theme as there are many, so the plugins are only officially tested on the official Woo Storefront theme. By testing on this Woo official Storefront theme, as long as other themes follow Woo standards, other themes usually work well also. When there are issues for a specific theme, it is up to theme developer to support since generally the issue is that the theme is not following expected Woo standards (as the Storefront theme does).

To accept an order, Klarna Payments requires the order to be in a currency that matches the customer’s billing address as documented at:
    https://developers.klarna.com/documentation/klarna-payments/in-depth-knowledge/puchase-countries-currencies-locales/
In order to support multiple currencies, a Woo currency switcher plugin is required. While Krokedil does recommend the Aelia currency switcher, other currency switcher plugins can also work (as long as they follow Woo architecture standards).

Another option to support multiple currencies with Klarna is Klarna Checkout Global per: https://developers.klarna.com/documentation/klarna-checkout/kco-global/
