• This plugin has lot of features like

    • Groups
    • user blog posts

    • notifications
    • friends
    • private messaging
    • and much more

which you do not get in any other free plugin.

but but … it lacks User Experience & Control of each every feature. Not everyone requires all the features right?

    Few of UX issues
    1. No auto-login after registration
    2. No control over Navigation menu
    3. No logout link for menu
    4. No registration link in Login page & vice versa.
    5. No redirection to Profile page from Login/Register when user is already logged in.

    and few more.

The above are basic but still not provided in this.

Certainly I will coming back to this plugin, hope these will be answered in the future.

    Hello @vijayatech,

We have noted your feedback and have many of these features already planned for near future release.

Also, auto login feature can be achieved by integration of ProfileGrid with one of our other plugins- RegistrationMagic. For more details how this works and can be setup, visit this link : https://profilegrid.co/profilegrid-registrationmagic-integration/

As for navigation menu, you may add Login, Logout, User Profile, User Group and Password Recovery menu using extension “Login Logout menu”. Please check out this link : https://profilegrid.co/extensions/profilegrid-login-logout-menu

Regarding registration link on login page or vice versa, it can be achieved by creating custom template. Refer to the relevant details here: https://profilegrid.co/creating-your-own-custom-templates/

Regarding redirection to profile page from Login/Register (when user is already logged in), configure the pages from ProfileGrid settings by referring to the following steps :

    1) Login to WordPress Dashboard, and go to “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> General” menu.

    2) Configure the profile and other pages here, and save it.

Post these changes, user should be able to see the link for ‘My Profile’ page there.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Again, Thanks for great plugin.

Please consider this as constructive feedback.

Yes, I have seen them tried the solutions.

    1. Why would I need another plugin just for this? (Although RegistrationMagic is another great plugin)

    2. Login Menu extension don’t have documentation. I cannot see any option in the Navigation menu to control menu item in the front-end (like in other plugins).

    3. I did the same, but not everyone will have coding experience.

    4. Redirection – I did not know this. Please include this in documentation.

    Thanks for your response.
Definitely, I am going to come back and use this plugins (RegistrationMagic, ProfileGrid & Event Prime).

    All the best.

    Hello @vijayatech,

We appreciate your constructive feedback. It will definitely help us to improve in future.

Please refer to our comments as following:

1- The workflow of each of our plugin is developed carefully with aim of providing complete solution for a particular specification. While ProfileGrid aims at profile management at the core, RegsitrationMagic is basically about custom forms. Sometimes the required functionality can be such that integration of these two plugins can provide exact intended solution.

2, 3, and 4- We are always working towards improving the documentation and have recently escalated the activity in this department. You will be definitely seeing changes for good in coming time.

Thank you once again for your valuable comments.
