• Hello.

After move 2 or 3 images with no problem I decided to move a big lot of my images dragging a multiselection. When drop in new created folder I got a lot of errors about folders in server. Now all images are partially moved/copied in both previous and new folders. No idea how to fix this (bloody facepalm).

I would like to request some help to restore my media library before install this plugin and info about how to uninstall with no danger for my WordPress or database.

    Thanks, regards.

    luisserrano,

You can try moving the images currently in your destination folder back to their source (original) folder a few at a time. In the case that an image already exists in the source folder then simply delete it from the destination folder.

Once you have the images back where you want them, deactivate Media Library Plus and activate Media Library Plus Reset to delete the table added to the database to store folder information; click the Reset Database option to perform the reset.. None of the images or folders you added using Media Library Plus will be affected by the reset.

After doing the reset you can delete Media Library Plus.

Everytime I try to move or copy files the plugin shows the same message: The URL for that files are not correct.

If I move the files via FTP, the plugin keeps the “ghost” files or thumbnails in the previous folders (Maybe a database issue or simply the plugin wont rescann folders?). In addition, the thumbnails of images I moved back to original folder, wont show thumbnails, neither the original images.

So this turned a problem. Even using this plugin according the guide. I feel forced to restore a back.

    Thanks anyway. Best Rergards.

You might want to check the URLs (addresses) of the files and folders to see if there is any inconsistency in your media library database. This may happen if your site had been moved. When this happens, some files might still use the old URL. The plugin Better Search and Replace can fix this and insure that every URL is correct.

The incorrect URL message comes when the plugin attempts to convert the URL to a path to the file on the server (which includes removing the ‘https://’). So if the URL of the file is not recognized then the plugin cannot convert the URL to the path to the file on the server.

Once you can fix the URLs of the files in your media library then Media Library Plus will function with no problems.

The Media Library Plus Reset plugin includes to options to view the URLs to files and folders: Display Attachment URLs and Display Folder Data.
