Was it a username for the forums here, a specific WordPress-powered blog, or an account at wordpress.com?

They know the email address they used. (they have not posted any topics yet)

Do they need to contact the site administrator directly?

If so, how do they do that?

There’s no site admin to contact. Just post the email address here and I (or one of the other admins) will remove it ASAP.

Search by email isn’t very reliable, but I’ll try my best to dig up the username.
