After a server update, I lost all my subscription list as well as the subscription form that was on the side bar. The option to create a new subscription form is no longer there. Our service provider reloaded the website to before the date before the loss of the subscription list but the list is still gone. Any advice you can offer would be great. Thank you.

  • Hi @wavesandwater,

Thanks for contacting us! I checked and the Jetpack connection for your website is not working properly.

For Jetpack to work, we need a working connection between your site and WordPress.com.

Would you please delete Jetpack and then reinstall it as a first step here? You can follow these steps to do that:

    1. Start at PluginsInstalled Plugins.
    2. If Jetpack is currently active, click Deactivate to disable it. Then click Delete to remove it from your site:
    3. Go to Plugins? → Add New.
    4. Search for “Jetpack – WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth”.
    5. Click Install and then Activate.

When Jetpack is installed, click the Set up Jetpack button to reconnect.

This handy guide explains that process in more detail:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here.

    Hello @wavesandwater ,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

    Hello Joseph,

thank you so much for you help. I did manage to re-install jetpack successfully and add a subscription option in the widget. However, the subscribers are still lost. I tried to re-subscribe a few new users (and the message was : you have successfully subscribed) but these users have not received any confirmation email so far.

If you there is a way to retrieve the subscriber list, that would be great. https://wordpress.com/read/site/subscription/30978248. Here, it is showing that there are 350 subscribers. Thank you very much.
