I am having the same problem so many other people are having. My subscriber count went from 51 to 40 yesterday. After closer examination of the subscriber list, it appears the ones listed under “Email followers” contain the entire 40, although it says there are only 29. The remaining 11 followers are listed under WordPress.com followers, but they are also in the other list.

Methinks something is screwy with the way Jetpack is handling the different lists.

    Hi,

The subscribers weren’t actually missing, we experienced an issue yesterday where the counts weren’t being displayed, but the actual subscribers were safely stored in our database on WordPress.com. This issue has now been fixed, and the numbers should soon be displaying accurately again, if they aren’t already. If you experience this issue again, please start a new thread and let me know, and make sure to include your site’s URL.

For what it’s worth, my subscribers are still at 40 and should be a 51.
