  • Same happened to me.
I run dozens of WordPress sites and I’ve updates FSCF many times, and nothing bad has ever happened. But this latest update messed up all my fields!
And I can’t even change the settings from FSCF control panel. When I save the settings they don’t get saved!
    Any fix coming?

@marcobortolotti: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own. It causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic.

This thread’s title is “Lost settings in update”.
I don’t think it is impolite to add an on-topic contribution to it.

Seeker286 says that all his settings were lost in the upgrade. So were mine. Maybe knowing that Seeker286 is not the only one who would have appreciated more warning will make you FSCF guys a little more careful next time.

And, anyway, maybe to release a bugged upgrade was a tad impolite too. What do you think about that?

The first half hour of downloads yesterday had a bug that prevented the auto import from version 3.xx routine from firing. Sorry for any inconvenience.

If that happened to you here is the help page:

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the prompt response. I uninstalled and re-installed version 4.0.6, and it imported the previous settings perfectly.

I didn’t know about the backup feature, but that’s very handy too.

FYI, I installed the update this morning, so I’m not sure why there was still a problem. Hopefully it’s fixed now.

    Thanks again!
