    Hi,
I just check my site and two posts have vanished. Which is pretty unfortunate because these posts were very connected and pulling in good traffic. As far as I know my server has not been down or had any problems. The only things I have done is updates that are show at the top of admin. Can anyone PLEASE advice on what if anything I can do?
    All advice very much appreciated.

IF you look on the dashboard under POSTS->ALL POSTS, are they there? Is there anything in trash?

Please provide a link to your site! Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes I looked under all posts but both posts are no where to be seen, no trace of them at all.
Where do I look for trash? The only trash I can think of is under edit.
Here is one of the links to a missing post: https://dv-eye.com/wp/blog/7-video-collaboration-tools/

If you need other links please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I am just thinking that I should look on c-panel as I believe I have back up enabled. (I hope)
Just check and I do have backup enabled. Not sure how to go about using them though.

    Thanks for your help.

Good idea — check the backups.

    Hi Steve,
I have back ups enabled but now in c-panel it’s telling me this: You do not have any automatically generated backups that are currently available. Your server administrator or server owner must enable this feature.
Can I search in my own data base in MySQL? Will that have back up logs?
    Anything else I can try?

Check your wp_posts table with phpmyadmin to see if you can find the missing pages/posts. If you’re not backing up, there are no backups.

I recommend backwpup for backups. Push the backups off site (dropbox, etc.) and keep a few weeks of backups.

    Ok I’ll do that thanks.
I do have the WordPress back ups enabled, so where will they be? I don’t unfortunately back up my self, I will start with your link from now on.

All my media for the posts are also gone. It’s strange that everything has disappeared, the whole site has stepped back a month.

That sure sounds like your site got restored from a backup. Check with your host.

Ok yes I see what you mean.
    I’ll get on to them.

Thanks very much for your help.

I am also seeing the same on another site, 2 posts vanished. I queried the DB with the exact phrase of the post title and found in the database that the data exist on the wp_post table but not in the posts section of WordPress.

    ***Update***
The post that I had found in the wp_posts table was just a revision of the post. No sign of the post yet. Going to restore to when post existed, grab rows of the posts, restore back to today and import rows… Wish me luck. ??
