Lost post links, after mess up

Hi

I first got a Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_admin()…..
message, not sure if was me messing about in dreamweaver or something. As I was about to try and remove the wp_ table prefix and didnt get that far.

I thought I had restored through my blue host panel, I can get on my admin pages, however on the website the posts do not come up 404 not found. The may have lost the links.

I dont know if to start a fresh, and copy the few posts text into word.

It looks like I can not create a new database to copy it in to, so I guess it would be wiped if I did a brand new install.

Any pointers would be most grateful.
