Lost photos after updating Version 1.1.2

    After updating the plugin to v1.1.2 on a network / multisite installation, we lost all images after clicking the update settings for 1.0.7 users. i.e. “!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!!
    Update Plugin Settings Those Users Was Using Version 1.0.7 Or Previous Once
    It will prevent you to loose your previously created galleries and settings.”

    Noticing this, we updated the other sites in the multi-site through the Network Admin login user.

    Is there are way that we can recover those old images from this one particular site in our multi-site network OR do we have to upload them all over again?

    Hi @lesdeveloper,

    Did you hit the “Update Setting” button?

    Please keep the backup of the all site first begore update setting. So, no data loss – https://prntscr.com/qlai8p

    And update setting on the individual on each network website. Try with one site, if success then applies to others.

    Hi,

    We normally do the backup weekly, but this time did not have the backup of the photos as we thought it will be a smooth update. After facing a problem with one site, we treaded slower and successfully did the updates for the other sites.

    Question still remains if there is a way for us to get back the older photos as they were uploaded using the older version of the plugin? Photos data would be stored somewhere presumably and we can pick that or import using some backend utility that you might have. Please let us know if any help is possible from your end on this.

    Hi there,

    Can you please tell us first that did you have used that “Update Plugin Settings” button or not? Please see the screenshot – https://prnt.sc/qlc9g2

    If you haven’t used that then please hit that button and recover your gallery images and settings that you have before update the latest version.

    Hi,

    If you are using the plugin on multi-site then you need to go on every site and hit that “Update Plugin Settings” button to recover galleries and setting that was in the previous version.
