• We are using v6.4.16 of the plugin. The login page works fine, and when a correct username/password is entered it behaves as expected.

However, if the user enters an incorrect password, then clicks on the “Lost your password?” link in the error message the browser reloads the login page. It means users will never be able to recover or reset their passwords.

The theme being used is Avada.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Does the Lost Password page exist, not in the trash?

Yes, it exists, and it has content, including the required shortcode. It’s also tagged as the Lost Password page using the custom tag box on the page edit screen.

Let me know what other info you need to help me solve this. I can send screenshots, if needed, though it seems this forum doesn’t allow that. If you need backend access to the site, happy to provide it (privately, of course).

Are any other pages (accidentally) also set as the lost password page?

I’ll now have to ask someone else to follow up on this as I’m no longer working directly on that project. I’ll pass the query on and get back to you with the response.

    I have a similar problem.

In addition to the “Theme My Login” plugin I use the “Page Restrict” plugin.

If someone which is not logged in opens the page https://volley-uster.ch/intern it sees the login page, because the page is restricted.

If the guy click now on “Lost password?” the link https://volley-uster.ch/intern/?action=lostpassword is opened, but unfortunately he will see the login-page again.

I guess this is because the link has “/intern/” in the address, which is a restricted page.

If the link would look like https://volley-uster.ch/?action=lostpassword everything would work perfectly.

Do you have any idea how I can fix that? Can I somehow change the structure of the lostpassword link (remove “intern”)?

Thank you very much for you support!

Update: I’ve now heard back, and they’ve confirmed that there is only one page set up with the lost-password flag.

—Update: We were able to fix this. No action required.—

Bump — we are also having this issue at members.gapyearassociation.org.

    1) User navigates to Reset Password page (members.gapyearassociation.org/reset-password)

    2) User enters in valid email address, receive reset email, but the link in the email simply takes them back to the normal homepage.

We’re running 6.4.16. Thanks in advance!

Is there a page properly assigned as the Login action?
