    I configured the password recovery email but the emails are coming in English (without my translation).

    How do I correct this?

    @felipetto – how have you translated these emails? Are you using a plugin such as Loco Translate?

    If you have manually created your own translation files, check to ensure that you have placed the translations in the correct place.

    I recommend using a plugin such as the one I mentioned above to verify that the translation process is working or not.

    I’ve set up custom text for the email body in the woocommerce options:

    I have the loco translator installed on this site and I checked the Woo translation, it’s correct:

    Even so, the email arrives at the customer with this text in English:

    @felipetto as first step, I’d recommend trying to switch to either the default Twenty Nineteen or Storefront theme on a staging site. That way you can check to see if your theme is using it’s own templates.

    Also check any third-party plugins you are using to adjust the email body text, as that is not a normal function in WooCommerce (by default you won’t see the option to adjust the email body).

    it really was a theme file that was causing the translation error.

    @felipetto glad to hear that helped. Some themes will override the default WooCommerce templates. You should be able to translate the theme’s templates as well using a program like Loco Translate. Instead of selecting WooCommerce to translate, you would select your theme.
