    Hi,

Love the plugin but have a small issue I’m trying to work around, perhaps you can help please?

I’m using Client Portal with Profile Builder as recommended.

So when a client logs in with an incorrect credentials, the following message is given:

ERROR: Invalid email. Lost your password?

If the client then enters their email address to get a new password, the following is displayed:

Check your email for the confirmation link, then visit the log in page.

When the client logs in with their new password they are taken to the wp-admin page rather than the client area.

SO I’d like to fix this in the easiest way possible – Do you have any suggestions please? Many thanks in advance,

    Matthew

    Hi @mattystrya,

Could you please go to your Dashboard-> Plugins-> and check if you have the latest version of Profile Builder and Client Portal?

Note: For Profile Builder the latest version is 3.7.6 and for Client Portal, the latest version is 1.1.7

    Hi,

Back on it again. Yes 3.7.6 for Profile Builder but now 1.1.8 for Client Portal.

    Here are my steps:

    Client area login page:

    https://test.totalwebsolutions.com.au/log-in/

    INCORRECT password entered and:

    https://test.totalwebsolutions.com.au/log-in/?loginerror=PHN0cm9uZz5FUlJPUjwvc3Ryb25nPjogVGhlIHBhc3N3b3JkIHlvdSBlbnRlcmVkIGlzIGluY29ycmVjdC4gPGEgaHJlZj0iaHR0cHM6Ly90ZXN0LnRvdGFsd2Vic29sdXRpb25zLmNvbS5hdS93cC1sb2dpbi5waHA%2FYWN0aW9uPWxvc3RwYXNzd29yZCIgdGl0bGU9IlBhc3N3b3JkIExvc3QgYW5kIEZvdW5kLiI%2BTG9zdCB5b3VyIHBhc3N3b3JkPzwvYT4%3D&_wpnonce=d0ec2eab22&request_form_location=page&wppb_referer_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftest.totalwebsolutions.com.au%2F

ERROR: THE PASSWORD YOU ENTERED IS INCORRECT. LOST YOUR PASSWORD?

Lost password link in client login area:

    https://test.totalwebsolutions.com.au/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Enter new password after reset link is emailed.
    Password is reset.

    Click on log in link:

    https://test.totalwebsolutions.com.au/wp-login.php

Enter new credentials, end up at dashboard profile page:

    https://test.totalwebsolutions.com.au/wp-admin/profile.php

****I absolutely don't want clients heading to the profile page for obvious reasons.

BUT ALSO, all this password reset login is WordPress branded. Is there a way to avoid this and make it look like the client area login?

*****Alternatively, but not the preferential way forward, BUT maybe until this can be fixed, - is there a way to disallow the "ERROR: THE PASSWORD YOU ENTERED IS INCORRECT. LOST YOUR PASSWORD?" link to show when an incorrect password is entered?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Matthew

    Hi @mattystrya,

    1. You will need to create a new page where you need to add the [wppb-recover-password] shortcode, to be able to create a Profile Builder Recover password form. You can read more about this here: https://www.cozmoslabs.com/docs/profile-builder-2/shortcodes/#Create_a_Recover_Password_Form.

    2. After, to add the link for your new PB Recover password form to your PB Login form, you will have to go to your WP Dashboard -> Pages -> click Edit on the page where you have the PB Login shortcode -> and add the lostpassword_url=”https://www.yourdomain.com/page” argument inside of the PB login shortcode. It will look something like this example: [wppb-login lostpassword_url=”https://www.yourdomain.com/resetpasswordpage”%5D

You can read more about this here: https://www.cozmoslabs.com/docs/profile-builder-2/shortcodes/#Add_Register_and_Lost_Password_links_below_the_Login_form.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply, amazing support, great to find the problem was with my understanding of the plugin and not an issue with the plugin.

    Amazing plugin, amazing support. Thanks!

    I’ll be sure to review.
