we have a blog called kidsthink and we have lost the password. we have tried to get the password sent to our email address, but when we do we get a hotlink to press and then the new website either says the new password is in the mail – which it isnt – or that the key is invalid.

we really need to access this blog, the website has gone out on promotional material, so if we have to set up a new blog we still want to direct people there. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know if I can explain it any better than the visual step-by-step in that article:

    Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

Its not a matter of explaining. I’m having the same problem. The changes I’m making with phpMyAdmin just aren’t taking hold. Not sure if it takes a while for my host to update the database or whatnot. But I’m being sent a new password, confirming with the link, but the new passwords aren’t working. thats on a couple of my blogs. Just seems to be weird. Don’t want to have to reset the whole thing, y’know?

I also lost my password (because I just forgot it).
So I tried with the password recovery through email but I never got any email !
Then I followed up the instructions “Through phpMyAdmin” in Resetting_Your_Password: it worked !!!

Help please! My registered subscribers are getting invalid keys with their password reset emails. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m using WP 2.1.2.
