Lost pages after restoring backup

  • Hi all,

    I’ll start by stating this was caused by my lack of forethought.

    After hitting a problem with my site where it wouldn’t load I decided to restore a backup from a plugin.

    This sorted the problem out, but I’ve subsequently lost all the pages I created and images I added after making the backup, is there any way I can retrieve those WordPress pages or are they gone forever?

    That’s how a restore works; it resets things to the point at which the backup occurred. The stuff you did after the backup is gone.

    If you’re lucky, you may be able to find some content on the Wayback Machine at archive.org.
