Lost my welcome page

    In getting it all set up, I somehow managed to lose the default welcome page. Now when i go to the site, i get the search box with a “Not Found – Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” as the default. I have hunted around the MySQL DB and changed the index of my Welcome page to 1 but that didn’t ficksit. Is there an easy fix?

  • Do you have any Posts? Usually you’ll see that if you don’t have any Posts.

    Thanks for the help. Tried that and it works. i just created a test post and it comes up as the default page. I had created some other posts, and they are in the DB in the wp_posts table, but also don’t appear in the menus.

    I can always just recreate them. There isn’t much going on there yet, just getting started.
