• In one of my subpages I lost the Visual View. It shows a blank white screen in my back office. It still has the page word count at the bottom but a blank screen in “Visual View”. When I click HTML View on that same subpage is shows me all of the details.

I cleared all the HTML coding and started fresh on the Visual View. Inputting all the information again. It inported the information from a Word file and then I made edits. I clicked “UPDATE” and then looked at my website live on that subpage. None of the changes had been made. I went back into my WordPress editor and found all the new changes I made and “UPDATED” were gone. Again a white blank screen for Visual View and the OLD coding when I looked at the HTML View (not the ones I had just made).

Before this started happening I had gone to the subpage in my WordPress editor and it asked if I wanted to view the latest saved version of the page that was automatically saved. I didn’t know any better so I said yes. It was immediately after this that I have been unable to view anything in Visual View on this particular subpage nor make any changes or UPDATE anything.

I would LOVE help with this issue.

  • There is an icon with a W on it for pasting from Word docs. Still, I don’t recommend pasting anything from Word (or any MS Office program) in the Visual editor. Switch to HTML, paste it in, then switch to Visual to edit it.

Thanks Jonas. I will do that in the future.

My current issue is that I cannot see anything in the Visual View at all. And when I manually type in my information then click the UPDATE button none of the changes stay. It reverts back to the old information.
