Lost my visual and code tabs

    I appear to have lost the ability to switch between visual and code using the tabs when writing a post/page.

    All I get is the HTML code functions, not the visual ones…

    I’ve not noticed this until now.

    I’ve tried deactivating all my plugins and it didn’t resolve it.

    I have other wordpress sites, which do not have this issue.

    I am running wordpress 2.1.2

    How do I fix this?

  • Dashboard -> Users -> Your profile -> Check the box for the rich text editor and Save Changes.

    That worked…

    I see “Use the visual editor when writing”, in my profile.

    A ticked that, and it worked again.

    I wonder why it stopped working…

    hm2k, are you the administrator?
    If not, I found, at least in 2.1.2, that if an admin makes a change to a user’s profile on the edit user screen, any change, the user’s visual editor flag gets turned off.
    I found a fix for that particular problem for my site.
