I am a bit frustrated… upon installing WordPress 4.0 all kinds of functions of my self hosted site went haywire, I hate it when that happens, and would love to understand why that is…
My webdesigner has sorted most now, but for the worst thing that happened, losing the stats that were registered from the beginning of my site after deactivating and reactivating the Jetpack plugin, I have no clue how to get that sorted. Help in getting the stats back would be very nice…

    I feel your pain.

This same thing happened to me – and I am in the midst of trying to correct it.

If I find the solution I will post here.

Thanks for the sympathy. If someone from Jetpack is also reading this, may be they can offer some help? And if you manage to sort it out, I would be so happy if you would share it!

The Jetpack is on a break till 24th September. Maybe you could repost this after that date to bring this to their attention. They’re helpful folk, I’m sure they’ll fix the issue.

I am pretty sure I saw Jeremy Herve post in a couple spots recently yesterday while that September Break was there…

I was hopeful maybe they would see it before then.. but yea If we have to wait to get this fixed what else can we do?

It seems to be a problem on their end.

I don’t have much experience in using this forum but this helps guys, I’m actually a bit more confident my problem will get solved. I’ll post again after 24 September, hoping the Jetpack crew will come to the rescue…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Thank you both for the reports. We’re back now (and yes @owenpiccirillo, you caught me: it’s hard to stay away from the forums, even when off to work on projects for a whole week ?? )

Could you tell me more about the issue? Are you able to access the Stats page at all, or do you get an error? If you can access the page, but your old stats are all gone, could you let me know your site URL so I can take a look at your Jetpack settings?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

    Hi Jeremy,

When I installed WP 4.0 all kinds of things went wrong on my site. It took my web designer some time to get it sorted, but all is now functioning well again. At some point, I was advised to deactivate the plugins that work on my site. Jetpack is one of them. Upon reactivation, the stats reappeared but the old stats of my site from day 1 where gone, which makes me very sad. I really enjoy being able to see the progress of what I’m trying to accomplish with my site from the beginning onwards. I am so so hoping the old stats can be restored!
My weburl is https://www.duizenddodos.nl. Please let me know if you need anything else to help this get solved.
    Thanks a bunch!

    Jeremy,

I reconnected jetpack once I installed the latest wordpress… It gives me stats page but not from the past just from the day I updated and forward.

loveincmag DOT com is the website.

I dabbled in the database and think it assigned a new blog ID of: 74917894 and the old one was: 56407361… or vise versa.. its been a couple weeks since I looked.

Maybe that information is all you need.
    If not let me know!
    Thanks,
    -O

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@dodo1000 It seems your site previously used a different URL, duidodo.ruimtereizen.nu.

@owenpiccirillo Yours also used a different URL, and included /wordpress/.

I fixed the issue on both of your sites, and you can now get your stats and subscribers back by disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com. You can do so by going to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and click on “Disconnect from WordPress.com”. Once you’ve done so you’ll be able to reconnect to WordPress.com by clicking on the connect button at the top of the page.

    Hi Jeremy,

The site was build by my webdesigner on that url at first, that is correct. So, I did like you said, and really really hoped it would work instantly… but it didn’t. Anything else I need to do?

    Thanks for your help!!

I wouldn’t mind giving you the login details to my site via a non public channel if that could help solve the problem?

    You fixed it thanks…

To bad there isn’t a way to do this without support hardcoding everything.

    Thanks again.
