• Hi,
I just finished building the site (theheartoflyons.org) and was trying to figure out how to make the site go live – I went into General and changed the url to theheartoflyons.org/wp-admin – it garbled everything up. I deleted it and put back in the normal address and now it won’t go back.
Any ideas? I’ve spent about 4 weeks learning how to do this and putting site together for our local library —

    Thank you in advance!

  • You can change the URL’s back without admin access – see:

Hi, thank you very much for your reply.
I read the link you sent – I cannot get into the dashboard to access settings to make the changes – here is what I get: https://www.theheartoflyons.org/wp-admin/wp-login.php

I don’t have FTP access, and I don’t understand what it means to edit the wp-config.php file?

Can you elaborate further? I would really appreciate it very much –

Where is your site hosted? Is it possible for you to set up FTP access? That’s pretty important for many website related tasks. Or do you have access via a file manager system that your host uses? Or access to phpMyAdmin (your database)?

    Hi,
the site is hosted by Dream Host.
I was able to login and navigate to the FTP and then Index, then
    to:wp-config.php -but I can’t edit that document.
I’m a little confused and don’t want to mess it up further….
