Lost my htaccess file!

Not knowing what I was doing, I went to general options and changed my blog url from https://www.compassistservices.com/wordpress/ to https://www.compassistservices.com/wordpress.index.php, and I changed my WordPress url from https://www.compassistservices.com/wordpress/wp-admin/index.php
When I clicked on Save Options, my site crashed and I can no longer access it. When I search the WordPress directory with my ftp client I cannot find the htaccess file. Is that the problem? Did I somehow make that file vanish? Please help!
