Due to an unknown issue the Jetpack plugin stopped working. I reinstalled the plugin, but encounter an error when establishing a connection. I think this is an issue with our provider and I am trying to solve that with them, but this is going slow. In the mean time, I am trying to find the list of our subscribers, so we can at least temporarily contact them through other means.

Unfortunately I cannot seem to find this list. Is there any way to access this?

    Hi there, @celinejoosten,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble, but thanks for reaching out.

I noticed that the Jetpack plugin is not installed or active at the moment on your site. Could you please reinstall and reactivate it, and see how it goes? You have instructions on how to do that here.

We’ll be happy to take it from there and assist you if the connection still doesn’t work.

On a related note, In the future please do not send your passwords via public forum as it’s inherently insecure. If you need to send us something we have a secure way of doing so. I’ve asked the moderators to remove it.

Let me know how you get on. Thanks!

    Hi @erania-pinnera,

We are actually having trouble activating the plugin at the moment. I think this is an issue with our provider and I am trying to solve that with them, but this is going slow. My question is if I can access the list of subscribers, stored at wordpress.com in the mean time. I used to be able to see this list, but now I can’t find it. Or is this only visible if the plugin is active?

If so, I have a followup question. We are considering moving the website to another provider and we believe we will then be able to activate the jetpack again. But I don’t want to cause a problem and lose our list of subscribers. Do you expect this will be okay or would you advise against moving?

    Hi there, @celinejoosten,

I’m going to answer your questions one by one as follows ??

We are actually having trouble activating the plugin at the moment. I think this is an issue with our provider and I am trying to solve that with them, but this is going slow. We’re sorry to hear that, and we hope you can sort that soon quickly ??

The subscribers can be accessed when your account is tied to the site via the Jetpack connection, otherwise you won’t be able to see them.

We do, however, so granted we can verify your site ownership, we might be able to help in the meantime. This would require to work with you via email as we’re going to share sensitive information that can’t be shared on a public forum. Could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread?

Since the subscribers list is hosted in our servers, you will be able to access that once you connect your site with Jetpack. The data won’t get lost if you transfer your site from a hosting provider to another ??

Hope that’s all clear! Look forward to your reply ??
