I’m not sure if any of that helps me.

I can’t even access a login page. I have no idea where to look or what I’m looking for anymore.

So I changed my local host site URL to the exact same as my real site URL.
Now I have no way of accessing my local site. It takes me straight to my live site and I cannot login with my localhost user name and password anywhere.

Why you are so panic?

Remember that by simply changing the URL will NOT make your all works go empty..

Can you simply go the folder where you have installed WAMP and check for your files…

I’ve pulled the files from the WAMP folder and trying to upload via cyberduck ftp to my live site, but that isn’t working for me either.

I know the content is still there, but this whole process is a massive pain in the ass to try and resolve. I’m not good at this sort of thing and they don’t make it easy.

Why don’t you simply go back to the Local Host and change the URL to the previous one?

I can’t access any settings since changing it.

Are you able to access to phpmyadmin?

I’m back in phpmyadmin now.
I’m trying to “export” the wordpress database as the tutorial initially suggested, but once I click “go” all I get is a wall of text. No export options or download…

okay, so I managed to export using custom export, but all I get is the WordPress.sql file.
Is this right?

In the tutorial he has all the files which he uploads to his server. I don’t know what to do with this sql file…

edit your .sql file with Notepad or Notepad++ and ctrl + f and type your live site. Let me know if you find..

Replace all the live site link to that with your localhost

https://livesite.com –> https://localhost

Ctrl+h
Type —-> https://livesite.com in first box [ofcourse change with your live url]
next box you can type your old local host url on which you were working.

Save it..

and import the same file to the phymyadmin from where you’ve export. It will now work…
