Lost Editor?

  • Hello All,
    Just upgraded to version 4.5.3 and under the Appearance tab the editor has disappeared. Has the feature to directly edit the code, gone? If so is there a work around.

    It should be there in 4.5.3.

    Check you still have Admin role, because Editors etc don’t see it.

    BUT… it’s a bad idea to use it, always was. That way lies disaster and a broken website.

    This might be a good time to switch to making your edits by FTP.

    Thanks Jason. No defiantly no Editor! I have a fairly basic site and just wanted to put my logo above the header and change menu background colour. Any drag and drop design plugins that would to the trick? I am a bit new to messing around with the core files and know that a whiteout can ensue!

    Even if there’s no link on the menu you *ought* to be able to reach it via yourdomain.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php.
