I put off upgrading til I thought most of the bugs would be gone. I’m always at the very edge of my abilities in WP (I might use a few of the right words but ‘fake it’ alot) so please be kind… ??

After the upgrade, my super admin went missing – with it my access to domain mapping (30 + domains). Upon investigation, it appears my mapping plugin is missing too. (I think it was the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin but am not sure). This is pivotal feature for my site

Functionally, the domains appear to still be mapped & operational. On the ‘sites’ screen, no mapping is displayed though the column heading is there. I hope there is a ‘back door’ fix for this be cause I fear opening a can of worms (& alota work) to re-download & install the plugin

    Help…. thanks

  • It;s still there. The menu items moved.

Look under Network Admin for what used to be Super Admin.

And update the domain mapping plugin. THe menu item just got stuffed under Tools if you;re on an older copy.

Remember, plugins under mu-plugins do not give update notices.

    Thanks Andrea for the response

Under my login name at the top rt of the page, I’ve toggled between ‘views’ for ‘network admin’ & ‘site admin’ plus the (newly discovered) ‘edit plugin’ screen and looked at the plugins listed and it no longer exists (or is not recognized) in those areas yet functionally seems to still be working (ie specific domains still point to specific sites when browsed)

    Any other ideas…

Look under Plugins and see the heading called “must-use” plugins, right on the page (not in the menus).

Also, you still need to update the plugin itself. You need to do this via ftp, not within the WP admin area.

    Ahhh Andrea,

You were so helpful when I first built all this and you again have the answer I needed – Thanks

I downloaded the plugin & unzipped
Do I simply ftp all files & overwrite existing
Or are there any more steps or changes to make because I’ve never ‘updated’ a plugin via ftp as I was always able to us ‘auto’ update on other plugins

You can either overwrite existing or delete existing and add new.
