After I migrated from zipwp to Godaddy I got the message safe mode all the time. I accepted to move the settings and then after a while again in safe mode. I tried un-connecting it on the old url and now things seems worse. Woocommerce stopped working and other plugins.

I have tried everything to reconnect to the new website but nothing seems to work and I keep getting the error : Site connection failed. Please try again.

When I login to jetpack I can see the old url of the one I migrated but there is no way to change it. Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @tomstaffhorst.

    Thanks for reaching out.

I took a look in the background, and I wasn’t able to find a Jetpack connection for your site. Did you change your site URL at some point during this migration process? If so, please share that with us as it helps us trace the events much better.

Also, please note you can reach out to us directly here: https://jetpack.com/contact-support/.

    Hi @tomstaffhorst

I can see that Jetpack is still connected on the old site. Can you try these steps?

    1. Disconnect Jetpack from the Old Site
      • On the old site, log in to its WordPress admin, go to Jetpack > Dashboard, and disconnect Jetpack.
      • If the old site is no longer accessible, log in to your WordPress.com account, go to My Sites > Manage > Connections, and disconnect the old site.
    2. Check Site URL on the New Site
      • On your new site (GoDaddy), go to Settings > General and ensure the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are correct.
      • If they’re incorrect, update them directly in the database by editing the siteurl and home fields in the wp_options table.
    3. Reinstall and Reconnect Jetpack
      • On the new site, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, deactivate, and delete Jetpack.
      • Reinstall Jetpack from the Plugins > Add New page, then go to Jetpack > Dashboard and follow the prompts to reconnect.

If the connection still fails, let me know, and we can dig deeper into debugging the issue!

    Hi.
Awesome very detailed instructions but unfortunately it is not working. Disconnected plugin from the old site.
Tried to login in wordpress but there is no site there. Im not sure if i am using the right account or it is one of godaddy jm not aware of. When i login to wordpress on the link it is empty, no sites.

    checked the urls, all ok.
disconnected on the new, deleted, reinstalled and activated. But it just tries to connect to something, cant change anything. It keeps giving an error when trying to connect.

    Hi @tomstaffhorst

Thanks for giving that a try. Right now, I see that https://www.kairoskriti.com is just a coming soon page. When I test the Jetpack connection via the site’s xmlrpc.php file, we’re being blocked:

    Testing: https://www.kairoskriti.com/xmlrpc.php
    HTTP/2 403
    date: Wed, 19 Feb 2025 19:03:33 GMT
    content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    x-frame-options: SAMEORIGIN
    referrer-policy: same-origin
    cache-control: max-age=15

    server: cloudflare
    cf-ray: 91488481099f114f-ORD
    alt-svc: h3=":443"; ma=86400

The block is coming from Cloudflare. Please try implementing the suggestions here and then try reconnecting again:

    Hi there, @tomstaffhorst,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
