• I noticed no new “Cart Orders” were being made even though my site was getting a lot of traffic over social media. I then realized when I tried to make a cart order that I was not getting emails.

Upon more investigation I noticed the Paypal email field in my backend was an email address I hadn’t seen – my gmail should be [email protected] and instead it was [email protected] which I had never heard of. I was worried my site was hacked/spammed?

When I changed it back everything worked again.

Is there any way for me to retrieve all those orders that were made while this blackout was happening? It looks like the orders placed are not going through and people can cancel them on their end – but I don’t know their emails.
I know a little PHPMyAdmin and if you think they’re in a database somewhere I’d love to be able to email those people. Any help is appreciated!!

Hi, if the e-mail in the plugin settings was incorrect then I doubt that any back orders will even appear in your PayPal account.

However you can try checking your PayPal account to see if there are any orders.

There are no orders in my Paypal account.

But even though the Paypal email was wrong I was surprised no emails showed up in “View Cart” via the plugin. It means I don’t know who bought what. I know an order was made because I received an email from a customer about their order.

I’m trying to look through databases now to find any information.

Hi, the orders that are not finalized will not show up in the plugins orders. Now the problem is that you had an incorrect e-mail address added in the plugins settings. That means that any transaction carried out in your site under the wrong e-mail address will not get recorded in your PayPal account because that e-mail address is wrong and most probably does not exist in PayPal.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Kind regards
